I’ve been an Android user for a while now, and during that time I’ve tested a few application before getting to a point where I have 10 favorites that somehow make life a whole lot easier. Not saying these are the only ones I use – they’re just more important.
Seesmic
I was a Twidroid user for a long time, but now? Seesmic all the way. The best twitter app.
Facebook for Android
Sometimes you just have to stay updated. The app itself is mediocre at best, but since there are no good alternatives…
3banana
Great for taking notes on the run (or sitting down). Online sync is a big plus.
Camera ZOOM FX
I started out with FxCamera, which was a great supplement to the standard camera app. This is even better. Paid app though.
CardioTrainer
Records all my cardio exercises. For use with GPS or add tracks/activities manually. Great way to see improvements.
Apps Organizer
I was tired of the mess that was my home screen(s). Apps Organizer lets you put shortcuts within a shortcut! Instead of 16 icons on your homes creen, how about one or two?
NetCounter
Using Mobile Network can prove to be quite expensive. This let’s me keep track of bytes transferred instead of giving me a shock when the bill arrives. Separate counters for WiFi and Mobile Network.
Spotify
Only for premium members of Spotify, but a must for anyone who enjoys checking out new tunes on the go. Has the ability to download playlists if you want to check it out when you’re out of WiFi range.
Uninstaller
The standard way of uninstalling is the most time consuming thing in the entire world. With Uninstaller though: One click… gone. A must for anyone who likes testing out apps just for the fun of it (because you’ll end up uninstalling 75% of the time).
ES Task Manager
My HTC Hero has a tendency to get a bit slow after a while. This app gives you a great overview of processes running and the ability to kill the ones you don’t need to free memory.

Does anyone know which sort of video files are supported? I keep in mind the Instinct only might dl 3gp using opera mini. I downloaded the twist ap, possibly that is the problem? How can I watch movies from sites aside from youtube? Which file varieties? Usually I’m given the option of 3gp or mpeg4. Can’t get either to work. Thanks for your time! Rattling I want I was eligible for the upgrade to EVO!
